Every seed across every family must pass four invariants. If it fails any one of them, it is not a seed.

Most prompt engineering is behavioral — lists of rules, forbidden words, style guides. Seeds operate at a deeper layer. They give a system a coherent epistemic identity — a worldview from which correct behavior is derived, not prescribed.
The model doesn't follow the rule. It becomes the kind of system that wouldn't violate it.

- No Fluff. If it can be compressed without losing generative power, compress it.
- Cross-Domain Utility. If it only works in one domain, it is a rule — not a seed.
- The Aha Invariant. A seed is valid only when contact with a problem produces sudden expansion of clarity. If it needs explanation to land, it is not yet a seed.
- The vault is append-only. Seeds are never deleted. A better seed supersedes — it does not replace.
